Founded 15 years ago by award-winning producer Atit Shah, the LA-based studio has quietly built a global slate of genre-defying films—like Universal’s Remember Me, Netflix’s Brown Nation, and the upcoming The Red Mask—garnering acclaim across platforms from Hulu to Amazon. MEET THE TEAM

Atit Shah
CEO
Atit Shah is an award-winning film producer and CEO of Create Entertainment. Based in LA, he has produced over a dozen feature films, including Universal’s Remember Me, Netflix’s Brown Nation, and 20th Century Fox’s Money. His projects have garnered global distribution and numerous accolades, including 23 awards for Money. Other notable titles include The Crash (2017) and his debut feature, An Act of War (2015). Recent releases include Monsoon (Amazon) and Forgive Don’t Forget (Hulu). Upcoming in 2025 are The Red Mask, An Enemy Within, and Adventure Tom. A George Washington University alum, Shah previously held roles at Thomson Reuters and teaches film finance at institutions like IFP and Sundance.
Kearin Coonan
HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT
Kearin Coonan, Head of Development at Create Entertainment, is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film & Television specializing in Producing and Business Entertainment Management. She brings extensive experience across development, production, distribution, and festival operations, overseeing scripted film and television projects from conception through production while guiding creative strategy, packaging, and talent outreach. Having served as Director of Production and Operations and Senior Programmer for the Lighthouse International Film Festival, Kearin has led large-scale productions, curated official selections, and forged partnerships that elevated the festival’s national profile. Based in the tri-state area, she has also worked in distribution and post-production, combining creative vision with strong business acumen to shepherd projects from development through release.


Feisal Afzal
HEAD OF CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT
Feisal Afzal combines extensive venture investing and entrepreneurship across the technology and media sectors. He serves as Managing Director at Pound Capital and is a Co-Founder of Magik Eye where he serves as Chief Operating Officer & Board Director. Feisal is also a Board Director and Head of Corporate Development for Create Entertainment. He is also currently a Member of the AFI National Council. Previously, he served as Board Member Ager Hotels in India and iSpace in China. He also served as a management consultant with PWC, providing strategic advisory services for clients such as JP Morgan Chase, Lehman Brothers, and CS First Boston. Feisal holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.
Pooja Kumar Raina
Pooja Kumar Raina brings over 17 years of experience in the global entertainment industry. Having begun her career in Bollywood and now working in Hollywood, she has led and helped shape numerous original IPs across feature films. Pooja’s expertise spans story development, creative producing, and nurturing projects from concept to screen. In addition to her executive work, she is also a director and writer, dedicated to telling bold, character-driven stories that resonate with audiences worldwide.


Benjamin Andrews
Ben Andrews is general counsel for Create Entertainment. Through his law firm, BA Legal P.C., he advises on all aspects of development, financing, production, and distribution, including structuring production entities, overseeing all production legal matters, negotiating talent and guild agreements, and protecting intellectual property and chain of title. In addition to his legal work, Ben partners with Create’s producers in creative development, helping shape projects from early concept through production while navigating the complex business and legal landscape of the media industry.
